General Meeting - Cyber Warfare

HackerEvery week it seems there is a report about overseas hacker hacking into some company's computer systems. Even our government systems have been hacked. Are we in a cyber war? Chris Kimmel, a Security Consultant at SecureState, a local Cleveland company will discuss this. Areas to be covered include:
  • Chinese / Eastern European / Middle East Hackers – Why are they doing it?
  • How much danger is there to the power grid and other systems?
  • What about online banking?
  • What steps should individuals and companies take?

Chris Kimmel is a security consultant within the Research and Innovation Practice at SecureState. Chris's responsibilities include developing, adapting, and imagining methodologies and capabilities for unknown, dynamic or challenging environments. Chris also works closely with SecureState's Incident Response Team to manage and facilitate the response and readiness capabilities of an organization.
