Do you know your SATA from your PCI? Don't know TWAIN? Just what is all that stuff in your tech devices? While we may only think about our keyboard, mouse and screen, there's so much more hardware inside your computer. The presentation will explain the acronyms, the   terminology and how the hardware all works together.

Our presenter, Jere Minich served in the US Navy on a submarine as a computer operator for Submarine Weapons Systems. After retirement from the Navy, he was employed by the Department of the Navy at the Naval Surface Weapons Center, Dahlgren, VA; as a ‘Computer System Analysts’ for 17 years. After retirement, Jere moved to Florida and worked in a computer shop. Then in 2001, he started teaching basic computers to the neighborhood residents.

In 2007, Jere joined the Lake-Sumter Computer Society at the Lake-Sumter Community College, and served as Publicity Chairman. In 2009, Jere started teaching Basic Computers to members of the Lake-Sumter Computer Society in a classroom at the college. Jere is currently Program Director for the Lake-Sumter Computer Society.
