SQL SIG - SSIS Custom Components

Thomas McFarland will present SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Custom Components.  In this meeting,Thomas will give an overview of creating custom SSIS transformation components for use in both the dataflow and control flow of SSIS packages.  C# and windows forms examples will be shown, including the design and execution methods for SSIS and the differences between script tasks and custom components.
 
Speaker BIO: Thomas McFarland
IT Professional originally from Northeast Ohio, Thomas graduated from the University of Akron with a Computer Science degree in 2006.  His work experience includes Diebold, Inc, the Akron Safety forces and his current position as Application Developer at MemberHealth in Solon, Ohio.  He has been involved with SSIS and creating custom SSIS components for the past 9 months.
