General Meeting - Remote Access

  • 10 Jan 2009
  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Main Classroom Building Rm 136, East 22nd & Chester Ave., Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio
As the office / family / neighborhood computer geek, how often do you get calls from people wanting help with their computers? Trying to visualize what is on their computer screen is almost impossible, the idea of driving over there on a cold snowy night doesn’t sound very good either.
What if you could take control of the computer needing help and see what’s going on, on your computer? The keystrokes and mouse clicks you make, would take effect on the other computer. It’s easier than you think, and the best part is, it can be free.

Don Singleton, Vice President of the Association of Personal Computer User Groups (APCUG) will join us via the internet in a remote presentation on remote access. The programs he will demonstrate, will include Skype / Unyte, Logmein, Adobe Connect and Crossloop.

In addition, we will show how you can use Crossloop’s web site to advertise your services and make money fixing computers remotely.
